The was also some weirdness. Several people were introduced to the bizarre The Static Speaks my Name and somebody brought a Sega Genesis and subjected a small, but dedicated contingent to the marvels of Shaq-Fu.
We’re heading towards lunch soon. Here’s some eye candy for you:
Shaq-Fu was… and experience.
Pretty sneaky, sis!
We’re putting quite the load on the circuit breaker!
We’ll have more professional photos later. For now it’s cell-phone amatuer hour.
I’ll be not-live blogging our Extra-Life 2015 Marathon at, with any luck, about an hour delay. Amazingly, nearly everybody that planned to show up, has. More amazingly for a group of teenagers, they were all on time. There are still a couple of holdouts, but we’ve got more than enough to make this count!
Our team, The Vidiots, have raised $383 for sick kids so far. You can still donate, if you like – we can always use more sick kids; they’re so inspiring!
Here are a few shots of our lovely home before the invasion.
We’re getting ready to kick off our Extra-Life 2015 Marathon! In a little over 12 hours we will be invaded by nearly a dozen 17 year-old boys. They will fill our humble home with the sights, sounds and smells (oh, dear lordy me, the smells!) of charity! And gaming. Lots of gaming.
Our team, The Vidiots, have currently raised $345 for sick kids. You can still donate, if you like – we can always use more sick kids; they’re so inspiring!
We’ve got a PS4, a PS3, a Wii-U, a regular-old Wii and an impressive tower of board, card and dice games. Our brand new Steam Link is ready to bring PC games to our TV and a proud, lonely PlayStation Vita stands united with a short-stack of Nintendo DS’s for private play. Controllers are charged and stacked like cordwood. Plentiful snacks are at hand! Caffeinated beverages are standing by!
I’m not-live blogging our Extra-Life 2015 Marathon! Our team, The Vidiots, is 22 hours in and still playing! Well some of us are playing. We’ve lost more than a few. The survivors are still plugging along, but for how much longer is anybody’s guess.
Despite being nearly comatose, we ended having a great pass-the-controller session with the amazingly high-speed twitch game Race the Sun on PS4. This is exactly the kind of game that you don’t want to play with compromised reflexes, but we had a blast.
Here are some pictures!
This may not be the best place to have nodded off.

At least one of them had the sense to actually use one of the guest beds we set up.
